The Dented Puck Story:

A grassroots, constituent-driven disabled organization, formed solely out of necessity and passion for peer support.

The Dented Puck Podcast first aired 12/9/2020 as a platform to raise awareness for our sport. Early in 2021, our yearly blind hockey tournament was canceled for the 2nd year in a row. The Windy City Showdown was the first blind hockey event held post-pandemic. The Foundation was formed to support The Windy City Showdown.

But. Why “The Dented Puck?”

Our adaptive puck is made of low grade sheet metal. Hockey nets are made of wrought iron. Our puck loses that battle, and as it becomes more and more misshapen, it becomes… THE DENTED PUCK.

Besides, aren’t we all a little dented?
